I discovered these tips by chance, and by Googling them, I learned how to apply them. But when I asked my friends and family, I realized that few people knew about them. So I share them with you.
Tip #1: Record screen shots
Go to Spotlight, the search bar
Type QuickTime Player, it will appear at the bottom of the screen next to the applications
Click on the icon, it will give you several options
Select New screen recording, options will be displayed at the bottom of the screen
Click on Record at the bottom of the screen
Finally, to end the recording, there will be a Stop button at the top right of the screen (towards the battery level), otherwise, click on the QuickTime Player icon and select Stop Recording
Tip #2: Change the color of the folders
Select the folder
Right click and choose the option Read information
Click on the icon and copy (Control C, or go to Edit)
Go to Spotlight and search for Preview
Open the application and in File, choose Create from Clipboard, this will open an image of the folder
Click on Annotate in the Preview icon bar
Select the Adjust Color button (the icon looks like bars that can be moderated)
Make the adjustments you want to find the color you want
Copy the image
Go back to Read Info and select the folder icon (the same as in step 3)
Paste the image and voilà, you have just changed the color of the folder
Repeat the paste on the icons of all your folders if you want to do the same for the others
Tip #3: Put the time on the screen saver
Go to the internet (Google Chrome, Safari...) and type Download Fliqlo mac
Click on a site
Download Fliqlo (make sure it's free and that you don't download anything else, normally the file is called Fliqlo....)
At the end of the download, click on the Fliqlo server to put it on your Mac
Then go to System Preferences and then Desktop and Screensaver
Go to the bottom of the page and click on the Fliqlo option.
Here's a short video to show you the steps for the three tips:
