Lately, I've been able to test some new skincare products, both for the face and for the hair. And I share my opinion with you (obviously, the opinion may vary depending on the type of skin or hair you have).
For face care, I was able to try:
- A Rituals sunscreen that I put on in the morning. Apparently, it is good for the skin and avoids premature wrinkles because of the sun and UV. I find that the cream smells good (like the whole range of the brand), does not stick like some sun creams and moisturizes quite well. I took SPF 30.
- A range of The Ordinary products, recommended by a friend. It makes a morning and evening routine. I bought a cleanser, which is super effective and removes makeup well; a mask, it's pretty weird to apply and doesn't smell very good; a cream that works against pimples, you have to apply it with a sunscreen but it's effective; a serum that also works against pimples and pulls on the skin hence the use of the next product; a moisturizing cream, it's super nice to the touch, super soft and easy to apply, and leaves the skin moisturized throughout the night. Since both anti-blemish products are very drying, I recommend applying a generous layer of moisturizer. Despite this, I saw results on my skin after two or three days of use with smoother skin, less pimples and redness, and less oiliness.
- A moisturizing sorbet from Marionnaud which is nice to apply and doesn't leave a greasy film on the skin, and a product against dark circles, easy to apply and I saw results not in the morning but at night with shrunken dark circles.
- A cleansing oil from On the Wildside which is effective but for me, it's only a cleanser and not an oil, and a day cream from the same brand which I find great. It smells amazing and it moisturizes incredibly well. On the other hand, it's a little hard to apply because it's slightly sticky but the feeling goes away once spread. And little precision, the products On the Wildside are 100% natural.
For hair, I tested two products:
- On the Wildside natural shampoo, recommended by youtuber Gaelle Garcia Diaz. It detangles the hair well, makes it soft, has no particular smell however it makes my roots greasy after two days.
- The Coco & Eve shampoo, which smells great with coconut and avocado and does not make my hair greasy.
For the body, I wanted to experiment with the Rituals deodorant from the Sakura line. And I love it. It smells good, lasts all day and does not irritate the skin. Honestly, I use it every day, I think I'll buy it again and use it only.
So, I would 100% recommend The Ordinary and Rituals products because it works wonders, at least for me. My new skincare routine is going to be to use The Ordinary pimple cream in the morning, The Ordinary serum in the morning, and On the Wildside day cream in the morning, remembering to put on Rituals sunscreen, and in the evening apply the pimple cream and serum again, then The Ordinary moisturizer and finish with Marionnaud concealer.
