My favorite Christmas Movies

My favorite movies:

A shoe addict Christmas: Released last year for the Hallmark Movie Countdown to Christmas, this movie tells the story of a young woman, Noelle, who is passionate about shoes and hardworking. She works so hard that she forgets the important things in life, like love. Then a strange lady arrives, and with magic shoes, will try to change things.

I love this movie because it mixes all the good things about Christmas, with a romance that I find sublime. Plus, I love Candace Cameron Bure who plays Noelle.

The spirit of Christmas: Coming to put up an inn for sale, Kate didn't expect to see a ghost wandering around the property, especially since he only seems to be there around Christmas time. At first reluctant to Kate, the ghost will join forces with her to find out what happened to her about 95 years ago.

I find this movie very original, because it is not like other Christmas movies. Of course, there is still a romance, but the story is more about what happened to the ghost than the Christmas spirit.

On the 12th Date of Christmas: Two game designers must team up to create a kind of Christmas scavenger hunt. Not used to working together, they'll have to get past each other's defenses to learn teamwork. Especially since their goal for both of them is a promotion that could help them get their lives in order.

What I particularly liked about this movie was the romance between the characters. Even though they don't like each other at first, I loved seeing the evolution of their relationship through the film. Also, I love the actor Tyler Hynes who plays Aiden.

Christmas with the Darlings: Having lost her parents at a young age, Jessica signs on to watch her boss' nephew and nieces for a while. She wants to give them the best Christmas they've ever had since their parents died. But she's not the only one on this quest. Their second uncle also wants to take care of them this Christmas. Will they manage to organize themselves?

I love this movie because it puts family first during this magical time of Christmas, and this movie approaches it in an original and adorable way with such cute kids.

Christmas in Vienna: Jess, a violinist, comes to Vienna for a week to perform in a Christmas concert. There, she meets Mark, a diplomat, and by coincidence, finds herself taking care of his children.

This film is somewhat similar to Christmas with the Darlings in that it places a strong emphasis on family, while keeping an eye toward the Christmas spirit and some romance.

Meet me at Christmas: When Joan's son gets married, she is put in charge of planning his wedding with Beau, the groom's uncle. But while working together, he discovers that they have a past in common.

What I liked about this movie is to see a romance that mixes past and present as if fate was involved.

A Timeless Christmas: One day, Charles Whitley wakes up in his house but not in his time. He discovers Megan Turner, the director of the museum in his house. Together, they will discover why Charles traveled in time between 1903 and 2020 and how.

This film is a bit like The Spirit of Christmas in that it mixes a person from the past with the present, with a beautiful love story in the middle.

A Princess Switch: Switched Again: As Lady Margaret is about to become queen, Stacy decides to switch places with her in order to let Margaret enjoy Kevin, whom she hasn't seen in six months, and repair their love.

Like the first one, I loved this movie. It's funny, full of surprises and like any Christmas movie, there's romance. This film is original, while remaining on the plot of the first, with the exchange of places between Margaret and Stacy. But well, we are entitled to some surprises, and this from the beginning to the end.

Dash & Lily: Although it's not a movie, I think it belongs here. It is a series of 8 episodes of 30 minutes that tell a Christmas story quite original. It mixes treasure hunting in the form of challenges, which are funny and out of the ordinary, and an incredible romance. So will you dare to watch the series? If you haven't already, of course.

Movies I liked:

Mingle All the Way: In order to impress potential investors, Molly, creator of Mingle All the Way, an app that allows singles to travel to work events together, decides to sign up for her own. There she meets another single person, someone she had met before and doesn't like very much.

One Royal Holiday: During a snowstorm, Anna, who runs an inn, is offered to a mother and son to stay at her inn until the storm passes. Only it turns out that they are none other than the Galwick royal family.

A Welcome Home Christmas: When a soldier returns from a mission, Chloe is sent to help him adjust to a normal life. But against all odds, they will help each other, she to help him during his adjustment and he to help her during the Christmas season.

The Christmas Ring: Seeing an engagement ring that looks like her mother's, a reporter decides to dig up the story behind the ring and even asks for help from the grandson of the person whose precious ring it was.

The Christmas House: A family reunites after years to reorganize their famous Christmas House, their lost tradition. This will bring them closer together but also help them deal with the problems they have left behind.

Of course, the movies from my Movies for Christmas articles are still on my list, like A Princess Switch, and Christmas at the palace so here's the link, if you ever want to check it out :

And of course, since every year with Hallmark Channel, we get new Christmas movies, this list is likely to grow every year. Here's this year's Countdown to Christmas schedule.

There are a lot of movies from this year that I put in my list and the only reason is that Hallmark Channel makes great Christmas movies that deserve to be watched, or even re-watched, every year. Plus, we get plenty of new movies for every Christmas.
