Since I did an article on Christmas movies and most of them were from Hallmark Channel, I won't put them in this article. But here is the link in case you want to check them out: https://ameliemarmo.wixsite.com/monsite/post/my-favorite-christmas-movies
So here is my list:
The Sweetest Heart: Maddie, owner of a cupcake store, is looking for an investor to save her business. She meets an attractive investment banker, Alex. Just as she is ready to form a closer relationship with him, her first love, Nate, is back in Indian Lake. Maddie is still angry at him for abandoning her fourteen years ago when he promised to build a life with her.
My opinion : What I liked in this movie is the fact of giving a second chance despite the fear. I also liked the story of the secondary characters, who are as endearing as the main characters.
Winter Love Story: Cassie Winslett publishes her first novel, but has trouble finding her audience. She then goes on tour with Elliott Somersby, a brilliant but pretentious writer. If everything opposes them at first sight, the two authors will help each other...
My opinion: I loved seeing the world of writing and romance combined in one movie, two things I love. I knew right away that I was going to like this movie when I saw the trailer and I was not disappointed.
Paris, Wine & Romance: Isabella, head of her family's vineyard in Oregon, travels to Paris to participate in a prestigious wine competition. The American meets Jacques, a famous winemaker and formidable competitor to whom she gradually gets closer.
My opinion: I liked this movie because it has romance, Paris, and English and French mixed in. And I like the main authors very much: Jen Lilley and Dan Jeannotte, because they play very well and know how to make their characters interesting.
Booltled with love: At 36, Abby is a successful woman in her professional life. However, she still hasn't found love. On the advice of her aunt, she writes a love letter to her future lover and throws it into the sea. A man finds the bottle on a beach and starts an e-mail correspondence with her. At the same time, the boss of his company brings back his son Nick and entrusts him with the mission of assisting Abby. They immediately feel drawn to each other.
My opinion: I found this movie very interesting with an original love story, as Abby and Nick don't get along when they work together, yet while they don't know each other on identity, in print there is a real connection between them.
Just Add Romance: Carly and Jason meet at a cooking school. But one day, Jason stops coming to class and doesn't give any more news. Three years later, Carly - who has become a chef - signs up for a cooking show. She was surprised to find Jason among the contestants. Winning the competition would allow them - both of them - to open their own restaurant.
My opinion: This is a simple but special romance in my eyes. It's more the characters that touched me in the movie than the story itself, even if the romance is very well done. The characters brought a touch of charm to the movie, that's why I find it special.
Accidentally Engaged: Clarissa is a young actress. On the set of a movie, she spills a coffee pot on the star Chas Hunter and is fired. Shortly after, a photo of Chas and a young woman is published and everyone believes it is Clarissa. She denies it, but nothing happens.
My opinion: This movie is very funny, and mixes pretence and romance in a perfect combo. I like the fact that Clarissa's character is unsure of herself at times, and that she gets there through this adventure with Chas.
